(In early December Joe Nicholson wrote to me on the Golden Buccaneer's web site Forum inquiring about a Golden Buccaneers reunion. THis is a reply to that Post).
Sorry for the late reply to your inquiry about a SR Golden Buccaneer reunion but I hardly visit this forum anymore. It seems that the PCP Forum gets all the attention these days. Anyway, I have heard little or nothing about a reunion since last summer when we had those first two Alumni Association meetings.
As predicted, I've been very busy since September in organizing the PAL Buccaneers Jr. corps with Mike. I never intended to personally spearhead the Alumni Association or the SRGB reunion plans after making the initial suggestions and overtures last summer following my tenue as PCP Director. I think everything just got side-tracked after that second meeting. There was a lot going on with reorganizing The Pride last summer and that dominated the attention of many.
I'd enjoy a Buccaneer reunion, would support one wholeheartedly and even work on a committee to assure its success. If there are other SRGB alumni out there still interested in organizing an Alumni Association or simply an SRGB reunion, I'm sure I can assist in securring a meeting site, such as the conference room at PAL Headquarters, to host discussions. In fact, Mike already has offered that kind of access. Anyone interested should just let Mike or me know about it.
